The sweet Innocence of Children

Lately, Hannah has said some of the funniest/cutest things. I can't help but share some of them.
In her nightly prayers she always goes on and on about Jesus, and how much he loves us. She says things like "Our hearts go to Him, and His heart comes to us, and we love him so much." A couple of nights ago, she also said "We are so thankful for the Holy Ghost, and we are so sorry that he doesn't have a body!" (at least she gets the concept I guess!)

Yesterday Hannah was constipated. (poor thing) I went to check on her in the bathroom and she had her pants down looking at her bottom in the mirror. She said "Mommy, I am so worried because I was looking at my bum, and it looks like there are 2 holes down there and there's only supposed to be 1!" She must have really been looking hard. I didn't think I would be engaging in conversation about the female anatomy at this age yet, but I informed her, that yes, there are 2 holes down there, but only one is for pooping!

The other day when I was helping Ian in the bathroom, he said "Look mom, my weiner's bigger, it grewed!" Hannah promptly rushed in to see if his pee pee really was bigger because she didn't belive it. I told her that boys' pee pee's are magic and sometimes they change their size! Life is never boring at our house these days!! I just love the sweet, innocence that children bring to our lives!

Your post made me smile :) At our house that's called a pee-er thing. I gave up trying to teach them the right name for it so I just call it their pee-er thing too.
