My Sweet Grandpa
We lost my sweet Grandpa on December 17th this year. He had been having a lot of back problems, and had to go in for major back surgery. Otherwise, he was in excellent health and an avid exerciser. The day after his surgery, a nurse got him out of bed without his brace on and left him unattended. As a result, he fell, which caused a brain clot to form. He never gained consciousness again. Th family was quite upset about the whole ordeal, but most of all, we just miss him. It didn't seem like it was his time to go yet.
My grandpa was a wonderful example of how a husband, father, grandpfather, priesthood leader, boss, and employee should be. He has always been a spiritual giant in my life. When I didn't know where to turn for a blessing, or some good advice, grandpa always had it. He was such a hard worker and truely dedicated to everything he did. He served many hours in the temple as a temple worker, and was in the Bishopric of several single LDS wards. He held a special place in his heart for young single adults. He gave so much to his family, and he will surely be missed by all of us! We love you grandpa!!!

Advice

Oaky, so I need some advice. We learned that we are having a little girl, and we are so excited! So the question is, what do we do about the kids' bedroom situation....Right now Ian and Hannah both have their own rooms. I am trying to decide if I should move them into the same room so that the baby will have her own nursery for ahwile, or if I should try to put the new baby in Hannah's room with her. Of course the baby will sleep at night for a couple of months in our room with us, but after that, I just don't know what to do. It's kind of nice for those long nights if the baby has thier own room, but then again, maybe I can just use the livingroom, etc.....Hannah is a pretty deep sleeper, which is good, but I don't think she would sleep through a fussy, crying baby. What does everyone else think I should do? What have you guys done? Any advice would be very helpful!! Thanks!

It's true...I am PREGNANT!

Yes, we were trying to have a baby. We felt like we wanted to have just one more. It took awhile to want another one after having Ian, but I think we are ready. (I'm not sure if you are ever really ready.) Anyway, we have been trying since June, which for me was starting to take awhile because with Ian and Hannah it happened on the first or second try. I know four months is really not that long, but I'm glad it didn't take much longer. I feel so bad for the moms or moms- to- be out there who have problems conceiving and have to wait forever! That must be so hard and frustrating! We were actually going to stop trying because I didn't want to chance having a baby in the summer or early fall....I am already hot blooded as it is!!! I was actually just getting ready to do the HCG diet and had received the shots when I found out that I was expecting.....luckily, I have someone else who wants them! Hoepfully after the baby I will be ablet to do the diet because I am surely going to need it!!! (I have never weighed more than I do now except for the day I delivered!!!

Ian's 3rd Birthday

My little baby is now three years old! I didn't get very many pics of him from the birthday party, but here are a couple. Just a few things about Ian right now:

1. He is still OBSESSIVE about rocking in his rocking chair. He does not sleep well at night. Most nights, he comes into our bedroom, or sleeps in "his chair" in the livingroom.

2. He LOVES cars, especially the cars from the movie, "Cars."

3. Ian is so sweet. His bossy sister Hannah always gets her way. She bosses Ian around a lot, and he is good to take it. If he knows that something will upset Hannah, he gives her her way! What a nice brother!

4. He likes to play outside, jump on the tramp, swing on the swingset, ride his scooter and bigwheel, play with any cars in the house, and drive his dumptruck around the house.

5. Ian is so sweet and sensitive. It is so cute when he asks for a kiss. This usually only happens after I apply my mint flavored lip gloss, but I'll do whatever it takes to get a big wet one from him!
